After recently moving into their home the owners wanted to enlarge their ground floor living space, and create a large kitchen/dining room with full glass sliding doors that would connect the new extension to their garden. Their brief was to create a kitchen that would further enhance the stylish design of the new extension whilst maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. The couple knew they wanted a bank of tall units with an island, but had no real design styles in mind.

Together we designed a contemporary but homely kitchen using the new SimiLaque gloss doors in Lotus White from SieMatic on the island combined with Wild grey oak laminate for the tall units. The use of a completely flush mounted white ceiling extractor allows it to blend into the ceiling with no distractions to the garden views. Narrow depth tall units add discrete additional storage, softening the impact of the tall unit run.

This beautiful kitchen is as practical as it is eye-catching. Already it has been used successfully for a wedding party and a birthday celebration, providing ample surface area for preparation and presentation of food, whilst hot drinks are available in an instant using the Quooker Fusion tap. We are told that the food prepared in these V-Zug ovens is delicious, though the clients have still yet to try out their Teppanyaki hob!

Our Clients had this to say:

We are very pleased with the kitchen and everyone who visits comments on its quality and simplicity of design. Also we get comments on the range of appliances especially the steam ovens and the induction wok. The new worktop in the Utility has also improved the look of that room.
