First Dining Club Of 2017

The Myers Touch kicked off their Dining Club for 2017 with “A Spring Celebration” held on the evening of Tuesday 21st March at our studio. Guests enjoyed an intimate and interactive experience with our host chefs of the evening, Alan Haughie & Head-Chef Chris Hodder from McCrimmon & Reid. They were able to discuss, question and learn all about the featured foods while enjoying a four course meal in the company of twelve other like minded foodie lovers.


Alan Haughie, Chef Proprietor of McCrimmon & Reid said prior to the event “At the heart of our philosophy lies the understanding that only by offering something different can we stand out from the crowd. While you can expect locally sourced seasonal food of the highest quality, we are particularly proud of our ability to inject creativity into each and every menu. Having worked in some of Hampshire’s most innovative and well established hotels and restaurants since returning from my years in London, we have developed strong connections with the most passionate and dedicated suppliers and producers in the area, and now delight in bringing their ingredients to the plate. We look forward to taking you on a culinary adventure.”


The event was BYO so guests were able to challenge the Sommelier within them and select their own wine to bring along and compliment the menu!




On the tables were homemade breads, butter and Yarty vinegars with rapeseed oil.

Canapés: rock oyster with coal oil and wild garlic; treacle cured ham hock croquette; roast local crayfish with saffron and wasabi


Ballantine of Hampshire rabbit and black pudding, tarragon and hazelnut with parsley puree, wild mushrooms and brown butter sauce


Whole roast spring chicken with hay smoked onions, thyme infused mash, spring vegetables and mead


Dark chocolate fondant with honeycomb and gingerbread ice cream


Coffee and petit fours


Just a very quick note to say thank you so much for such a fun evening last night - it was totally delicious and what a talented chef Alan and his team are - wonderful explosions of taste! You were both so kind and welcoming - thank you. And I really enjoyed meeting everyone and the diverse conversations we had were fascinating!
