From kitchens to cars; the regular to the extraordinary, we have seen it all this week at the Milan furniture fair and Design Spectacle.
Eurocucina's displays of kitchens showed a distinct trend in the use of darker woods mixed with stainless steel and other metal accents together with the use of striated ceramic or sinterized worktops, in greys, black and the currently popular browns. Marble and granite look-alikes created an organic look in otherwise formal displays. The Bauformat display was particularly striking with its monochrome theme, making full use of dark woods and laminates with mirrors, steel tops and textured surfaces which expressed drama with elegance.
In Milan centre Keith & Helena Myers enjoyed a preview of SieMatic's new products at their Milan showroom. Beautifully finished metal mitred edges with 6mm detailing shows just why SieMatic is known for its quality of finish. Soon to arrive will be floating drawers suspended within stunning glass cabinets with herringbone veneer backs. There is nothing else like these on the market.
A trip further down town led us to the pre- launch of the amazing Byton car. Due to hit the Chinese market in 2019 and the US market in 2020 we can’t wait to see this all electric car on the streets of Winchester. Full of comfort, style and all the latest technology this is surely a car to look out for.
Here are some of our snapshots to help you witness the event but we are sorry we can’t bring you back the glorious weather!
